REVIVING ORIGINS is our long-term program in which we partner with farmers to restore coffee regions.

For centuries, the altitude and fertile soils of Uganda’s Rwenzori mountains made for exceptional coffee farming. But the coffee quality was decreasing. Together with our partners, we started our long-term REVIVING ORIGINS program in 2018 joining with over 2,000 smallholder farmers to increase the quality and yield. Over 200 training sessions developed the good farming practices that lie behind full harvests of great coffee, and lead to improved livelihoods. The sandalwood notes of AMAHA AWE UGANDA are still hard to come by, but each year we'll bring you more of this rich and clean Arabica, with its wild and floral character.

Origin

This high-grown coffee above 1200 m comes from the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda The snow-capped peaks provide steady water sources to complement the abundant rainfall of the region

Roasting

A part of the beans is roasted to a dark degree to enhance body and complexity, while another part is roasted more lightly, reaching a medium-dark degree to preserve the more delicate aromas

Amaha Awe Uganda stands out as a rich and clean espresso. It has a wild fruity character that carries both hard-to-find sandalwood notes and elegant florals.
