Your Nespresso coffee moment doesn’t end with the last sip. By choosing to either recycle or home compost your capsules, you avoid waste, keep resources in use for longer, and lower the carbon footprint of your cup of coffee.
When we recycle, we separate the used coffee grounds from the aluminium capsule. Coffee grounds can be transformed into compost or biogas, while the aluminium is recycled.
By 2025, our aim is that at least 10% of our machine sales will be refurbished machines.
More than 90% of Nespresso consumers have access to convenient recycling solutions.
